Western Pennsylvania French Country Home

DLA+ developed a design for a new 7,000 SF family home located on rolling hills south of Pittsburgh. The materials, details, and architecture emulate a French Country home. The program is implemented on two floors and a basement. The walk-out basement contains a theater, play room, exercise room, and an in-law suite equipped with a kitchenette. A large kitchen, great room, master suite, mud room, and laundry room make up the first floor, while the second floor has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a craft room. The home was planned to be built on a high point of the property providing sweeping views of the Pennsylvania countryside.
