Challenges

Complete interior renovation, which included a new office layout, new finishes and furnishing throughout the space. The ultimate goal was to create a contemporary office environment that represented the HFF brand image while encouraging collaboration.

Outcomes

This project incorporated the following interior architecture concepts:

• Transform the existing interior space creating an experience that would appeal to new and existing clients while reinforcing the corporate identity.
• Incorporate Natural Light and Transparency
• Create a minimalist design with dramatic accents

Experience, Transparency and Minimalism
A neutral palette with intense color is used to brand the space. The design is minimalistic with dramatic accents of smooth, matte and lustrous materials such as glass cladded walls and ceilings, articulating wood wall treatments, natural textured textiles and carpeting.

The Reception Area’s back drop is a Meeting Room with its views to downtown and bead encrusted wallpaper lit by two fractured metal chandeliers. The adjacent Board Room features a wood slat ceiling, wood and glass cladded walls and movable wood panels flanking the table concealing glass writable surfaces.

The main corridor is illuminated with glass cladded portals that transcend up the wall and across the ceiling, acting as a gateway to the space for the staff and clients.

The open work spaces consist of a center bank of cubicles and partially frosted glass partitioned perimeter private offices, allowing natural light to emanate into interior spaces, while increasing social connection and engagement.

The café is a sleek and streamlined place to connect, collaborate and unwind, while enjoying views of the city. Contemporary cabinets and a community table are accentuated by a brightly painted linear light alcove.

The overall design places emphasis on keeping client and employee relationships at the forefront of the design, by creating an experience encourages collaboration, increases interaction and increased productivity.
